Accessibility statement

We want Skanties to be usable by everyone. We are working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the site.

The site is built with semantic HTML and a single main heading per page, text alternatives for images, colour contrast that meets AA for body text, full keyboard operability with visible focus, touch targets sized for comfort, and support for reduced-motion preferences. Reviews and press are published as real text, not images, so they can be read by assistive technology.

We are working toward full AA and are not there on every element yet:

• Some parts of the shopping and checkout experience are provided by Shopify and third-party apps (for example the reviews app), and their accessibility is partly outside our control.
• Video content will carry captions as it is added; some clips may not have captions immediately on publish.
• Older migrated blog and press content may not fully meet AA and is being reviewed.
