About

Meet Susie Taaffe

Founder of Skanties, creator of @susieunshaped, and the reason this underwear exists at all.

Susie Taaffe is a chemical engineer by training, an Australian founder now based in Orange County. She built Skanties because nothing like it existed.

It began the hard way. After a sudden divorce, Susie was a single mother of three young children, starting again from scratch. She turned an engineer's problem-solving mind to a problem women knew well and no one had solved: chafing, digging waistbands, and underwear that was never designed for a real, changing body.

Skanties was the answer. Then it became something bigger, a movement for women who are done shrinking themselves.

I want women to feel at home in their bodies, and in their hearts.
